Delete Your Canary Challenge Account
The Canary Challenge allows users to permanently delete their account and associated personal data.
How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your account:
Sign in to The Canary Challenge app.
Navigate to Profile → Personal Information.
Select Delete Account.
Confirm your request.
If you are unable to access your account, you may also request deletion by emailing:
info@thecanaryproject.org
Please include the email address associated with your account.
What Data Is Deleted
When an account deletion request is completed, we permanently delete:
Account profile information
Email address
Phone number
Challenge progress and participation history
Reflections and journal entries
Group membership data
Notification preferences
Data Retention
Certain records may be retained when required for:
Legal compliance
Fraud prevention
Financial and transaction recordkeeping associated with purchases
Any retained records are limited to what is required by applicable law and are not used for marketing purposes.
Processing Time
Account deletion requests are typically completed within 30 days.
